GETTING STARTED
Getting set up
The 11 setup steps, in order, and what unlocks going live.
After your quote is accepted you get a welcome email with a Set your password button. Sign in and the portal opens the setup checklist. Each step shows a time estimate. You can stop at any point and pick up where you left off.
The steps
Your shop:
- Business basics. Business name, trade, public phone number, time zone, and whether to also answer in Spanish.
- Website & FAQs. Look up your website to pre-fill answers, then write the answers the agent should give to common questions, one per line as question | answer.
- Hours & closures. See Setting hours and closures.
- Service area. See Service area ZIP codes.
What the agent knows:
- Services & pricing. What can be booked and what may be said about price. See What the AI will say about price.
- Emergency & on-call. Marked Required. See On-call number and emergencies.
- Booking & calendar. Slot length, buffer between jobs, minimum notice, and how far ahead callers can book.
- Voice & persona. The agent's name, tone, greeting, and AI and recording disclosure. You can hear how it will pick up.
Go live:
- Test call. Talk to your agent from the browser, the way a caller would. Bookings made in the test are not saved.
- Phone number. Search by area code and choose your local number. See Forwarding your number.
- Go live. Starts answering forwarded calls right away.
What is locked until you finish
Steps 9 to 11 stay locked until steps 1 to 8 are done. Go live also needs the test call and a phone number. On the Go live step, each of these needs a check mark before the button works: phone number chosen, service area set, a bookable service, emergency contact set, test call completed.
You do not have to do this alone. Every plan includes done-for-you setup. Contact us and we will go through it with you.
Common questions
Can I change things after I go live?
Yes. Everything in setup is also under Settings. After you go live, each save creates a new version of your profile, and every call records which version it used.
Do I need Google Calendar to start?
No. Appointments are kept in the built-in calendar, under Visits. You can connect Google Calendar later in Settings, then Calendar.
